IMG_2831_Large_2_-_CopyThis Najad 380 walk-through was done for a customer in Norway who was seriously considering buying this boat in the U.S. and sailing it back to Norway to sell there.  The exchange rate was favorable, and Najads simply sell for more money in Europe. They're not as well-known over here, but are very well built.

In general, the construction and finish are nice, but the aluminum rig on this boat was pretty basic.  This seems to be common these days - I guess most customers don't look upward at boatshows.

IMG_3031_LargeThe true strength of the design appears when you go down below. The interior is fully finished in wood, and huge, absolutely HUGE, for a 38 ft. boat. There is a large main salon, but then a passage on the port side that leads to a huge aft cabin.  The outboard side of that passage is a full galley.  The engine room is under the cockpit, and is busy - to say the least.

There's no way a boat with this much furniture and equipment can be super-fast, but I'll bet it sails pretty well and is a very comfortable ride.
